- Education Qualification: Masters in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology from a reputed university
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for lab equipment and storage.
2. Sample receiving, handling, processing and storage at optimum conditions.
3. Perform molecular and microbiological assays on clinical and environmental samples.
4. Work with bacterial culture, PCR/qPCR, serotyping, and sample processing.
5. Routine performance of rapid diagnostic tests, nucleic acid extraction, PCR and ELISA
6. Prepare a detailed report and present to the principal investigator
7. Optimize laboratory methods based on study design
8. Supervision of research technicians on common laboratory protocols
9. Monitoring and supervision of clinical site activities
10. Follow up of study participants
11. Other study-related activities
Requirements:
1. MS (Master of Science) as the minimum educational qualification
2. Proficiency in basic wet-lab techniques (Culture techniques, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR
and qPCR)
3. Effective teamwork and communication skills
4. Proficiency in English
5. Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel
6. Research publication will be an advantage
