ideSHi is pleased to inform of a new addition of a tool, namely, the illumina MiSeq in its modern BSL2 and BSL+2 Laboratory at Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Ilumina sequencing will be used to sequence many genomes and to be able to make comparisons of DNA sequences for an improved understanding of health and disease.
We believe this new capacity will enrich ideSHi’s mission of solving health challenges faster through the diverse and state-of-the-art research. Just to share, to obtain this highly sophisticated equipment for ideSHi, its Founder and Lead, Dr. Firdausi Qadri has contributed the whole Prize Money earned from the “Independence Day Award 2023” (Country’s highest recognition offered to Dr. Qadri for her contribution in research and training for Biomedical Science in Bangladesh and abroad) along with her personal donation from previous recognitions.
The illumina MiSeq will be also used for ideSHi’s significant aim of training next generation Scientists in the field of Biomedical Science and Public Health.
