ideSHi Celebrates a Decade of Scientific Excellence

ideSHi (institute for developing Science & Health initiatives), celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since its founding in 2014, ideSHi has made significant contributions to science and healthcare, playing a vital role in the country’s health sector. The organization’s mission has been to deliver advanced genetic and biotechnology services to the people of Bangladesh and support public health improvement through local research and innovation. In pursuit of this goal, ideSHi has achieved remarkable success in the research of genetic disorders, infectious diseases, and microbiology.

ideSHi’s founder, Dr. Firdausi Qadri, said, “Today is a day of celebration and gratitude. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our friends and well-wishers in Bangladesh, and of course, to everyone worldwide who has been with us since the beginning.” Dr. Qadri also mentioned – “Many institutes do begin in Bangladesh and elsewhere, but about 70% wind up within their first decade. We have not only overcome these daunting statistics but is thriving after a decade, standing strong against the odds. We are going from strength to strength.”

Expressing gratitude to everyone, Dr. Qadri commenced the event with a performance by Ekushey Padak-winning singer Shubhra Dev. At the end of the musical performance, Dr. Firdausi Qadri along with the guest cut a cake to share the joy of ideSHi’s 10th anniversary with everyone.

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, ideSHi has organized a series of programs throughout the year, including special scientific workshops, seminars, and health awareness activities. The organization plans to undertake more innovative projects in the future, aiming to bring positive changes to public health services for the people of Bangladesh.

The event was attended by distinguished guests including the Honorable Advisor to the current interim government, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed; Mr. Md. Saidur Rahman, Director General (Grade 1) of the NGO Affairs Bureau; Dr. Nazmul Hossain, Director General of the Directorate of Medical Education; and Dr. Robert Sebbag, Vice President, Mr. Jean-Pierre Bossard, Director General, and Mr. Hervé Vicini, Chief Protocol Officer of Fondation Mérieux, France, Mr Guillaume de Kerdrel, Deputy Head of Political and Cultural Affairs of the French Mission, Professor Dr. Tahmina Shirin; Professor Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora along with many more well-wishers, friends, and family.
