ideSHi Participates in International Workshop on “Vaccines to Vaccination” in Colombo, Sri Lanka

The Institute for Developing Science and Health Initiatives (ideSHi) proudly participated in the Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop on “Vaccines to Vaccination”, held from April 7–8, 2025, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This high-impact workshop was organized by the International Pediatric Association (IPA), hosted by the Sri Lanka College of Pediatricians, and supported by global health leaders including GSK and the Serum Institute of India.

The event brought together pediatricians, immunologists, researchers, and public health professionals from around the world to strengthen knowledge, strategies, and collaboration around immunization programs. ideSHi’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to promoting scientific excellence, regional capacity-building, and equitable access to vaccines.

A highlight of the workshop was a session on “Vaccine Hesitancy”, co-chaired by Dr. Firdausi Qadri (Founding Scientist, ideSHi) and Dr. Asad, which addressed critical challenges and innovative approaches to improving vaccine acceptance across diverse populations. The session sparked dynamic discussions on public trust, communication strategies, and community engagement in the context of global immunization efforts.

ideSHi representatives also actively contributed to technical sessions and training modules focused on improving vaccine delivery and health systems resilience in low- and middle-income countries.

As a leading health research institute in the region, ideSHi remains dedicated to advancing public health through science, education, and impactful partnerships.
