World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day 2025

17th November, 2025 On World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day, ideSHi celebrated with a vibrant rally, awareness Olympiad, survivor experience sharing, discussion session, and prize giving at Dhaka Cantonment Board Adarsha Biddya Niketon.
Every year, 8,268 women in Bangladesh are diagnosed with cervical cancer—the highest death rate in Southeast Asia. Speakers emphasized that prevention through HPV vaccination, awareness, and early VIA screening is far more effective than costly treatment.
Students joined the rally wearing teal T-shirts and white caps, carrying awareness placards. Their energy and participation brought life to the event as prizes were awarded at the end.
With collective efforts, awareness, and regular screening, Bangladesh can move closer to a cervical-cancer-free future.
