Former Senior Research Officer
Md. Rakibul Hassan Bulbul completed his B.Sc. (2013) and MS (2014) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Chittagong. In 2016, he was appointed to Institute for Developing Science and Health initiatives (ideSHi) as a research officer. Before that, he was a research assistant at Laboratory of Complementary and Alternative Medicine & Natural Product Research (cam-npr) in the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Chittagong. During his thesis at MS program, he was awarded as National Science and Technology (2015-2016) fellow under Ministry of Science and Technology under the project, “Hepatoprotective effects of alcoholic extract of Leea macrophylla (Roxb.) root through upregulation of antioxidative enzymes in CCl4 induced liver toxicity of albino rat model’’. His research interest lies in cancer biology, epigenetics, molecular basis of Immunological responses, host-defense mechanism, bio-informatics and protein quality maintenance. His current work station is at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID), Fouzderhat, Chittagong where he involves in several projects including detection of mycobacterium tuberculosis, detection of respiratory and enteric pathogens and pneumonia study among Rohingyas refugees.
