Sadia Tasnim Tuba is working as a Research trainee at institute for developing Science and Health initiatives (ideSHi). She has been awarded a fellowship from The World Academy of Science (TWAS) on the project titled “Screening and profiling of plasmid harboring mcr-1 and mcr-2 genes in pathogenic bacteria and investigating underlying mechanism of dissemination in Bangladesh”. She has also worked here as an intern and later joined as a research trainee. Her B.Sc thesis was focused on Rapid identification of Streptococcus pneumoniae strains using 16S rRNA gene based PCR method. Tuba has a deep interest in genetic disorder research, antibiotic resistance and infectious diseases. Her long term desire is to pursue higher studies in genetic disorder and contribute her knowledge and skill in this field.
