Former MSc. Research Student
Raisa Tasnim received her BSc in Microbiology from North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where her final year thesis focused on ‘Assessment of lake water in Dhaka city in terms of microbiological and physicochemical quality’ for which she worked at Environmental Microbiology Laboatory in International center for diarrheal disease research, Bangladesh (icddr,b). She subsequently enrolled into a MSc programme in Biotechnology at Brac University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is currently working on her master’s thesis as a research student at Institute for developing science and health initiatives (ideSHi). Her work at ideSHi focuses on antibiotic resistance and infectious diseases. Her research interests include genetic disorders, microbial genetics, immunology, bioinformatics and molecular biology.
