Sabiha Jahan Liya has completed her B.Sc. in Biotechnology under the department of Mathematics and Natural Science from BRAC University, Bangladesh. Her final year thesis project was on antimicrobial activity, bearing the title “Determination of Antimicrobial Activity of Some Commercial Fruits (Apple, Papaya, Lemon and Strawberry) Against Bacteria Causing Urinary Tract Infection”. Recently Sabiha has joined the Institute for Developing Science & Health Initiatives (ideSHi) as a research intern, where she hopes to broaden her knowledge and practical skills in different molecular biology techniques. For future studies, her research interest includes antimicrobial resistance, molecular biology and immunology.
