Former Research Fellow & PhD Student
Suprovath Kumar Sarker received his BSc and MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Dhaka (DU). Suprovath has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and fellowships, including the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship from the government of Bangladesh. He worked as a research associate and laboratory manager for the Molecular Biology laboratory of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at DU. Currently, he is working as a Research fellow at the Institute for developing Science and Health initiatives (ideSHi). His principal research interest is in Clinical Genomics, including Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM), Huntington’s disorder, Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, Thalassemia and Hepatitis E virus infections in pregnancy. He is carrying out his PhD on Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM) and genetic disorders detection using high-throughput metabolomics profiling at Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of DU.
