Dr. Md Rofiqur Rahman, MPhil, MPH, MBBS, DTM&H joined ideSHi as its Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Md Rofiqur Rahman, a medical professional with 28 years of military service and experience in public health, health planning, project management, emergency management, and multi-sector coordination. He worked with UN agencies, health cluster partners, and NGOs. He has strong leadership and management skills, had commanded and led several military hospitals and field medical units. He has ensured quality delivery of health projects and have strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills. He has experience working under pressure, in diverse and multicultural environments, and in emergency management. He also worked in infectious disease epidemiology, prevention, preparedness, and control. He also has experience working in UN jobs and international contexts, as well as in developing countries.
